Upcoming US Tour Dates

Suzanne has wrapped up her European Tour and is back in the US for a few very special dates in August and September.

On Monday, August 16th, Suzanne will be playing a free concert in Albany, New York, with Melissa Ferrick as the opening act.

The next day, on Tuesday, August 17, Suzanne will be playing in NYC's Central Park as part of the "Joe's Pub In The Park" Concert Series at The Delacorte Theater. Joining Suzanne for this show will be Jonatha Brooke and Special Guest Teitur. Later that week, Suzanne joins Judy Collins and Rita Coolidge for their "Wildflower Tour" concerts in Saratoga, California and at Wolf Trap, in Vienna, Virgina.

In September, Suzanne will be participating in "A Weekend of Music in the Mountains" at the Full Moon Resort in upstate NY. There will be a September 11 Memorial Concert which will include artists from The Vigil project and an exhibition of Tim Vega's artwork.

From the Full Moon website, "The weekend will begin early Friday evening with a very special artist reception and book signing with Suzanne Vega, including open bar and passed hors d'oeurves. Following the reception, the Friday evening program in the Performance Space, hosted by Michael Visceglia (Suzanne's Musical Director and bassist) will open with readings by Suzanne, and will continue with guest performers including Joey Eppard, Jerry Marotta, Mike Visceglia, and Ben Butler.

On Saturday morning, guests will enjoy a lovely breakfast buffet at Full Moon's Café. The day's programming will be highlighted by an afternoon September 11 Memorial Concert with Suzanne Vega (in duet with Mike Visceglia), under the Concert Tent on the grand front lawn, with Capitol Records Recording Artist Amy Correia opening. The concert will be followed by a fabulous country barbeque (with vegetarian options). The program continues Saturday evening at the Performance Space, featuring a concert with The Vigil Project to benefit the Windows Of Hope Family Relief Fund, a foundation which continues to provide much needed support for families affected by the tragedy of 9/11. Suzanne will host the presentation, with performances by Ina May Wool, Jack Hardy, Jon Albrink, Suzanne Vega and Mike Visceglia."

Suzanne on Vin Scelsa's Radio Program

Suzanne will be a guest on Vin Scelsa's radio program, Idiots Delight, this Sunday evening, August 15th, between 8 pm and midnight. Suzanne will be chatting with Vin and playing a few songs. For more information on the program, stop by SIRIUS' Vin Scelsa page. You can listen live on the internet!

"Caramel" Featured in Trailer to New Movie

Suzanne's "Caramel" has been featured in the trailer to the Mike Nichols film "Closer" which will be released by SONY Pictures on December 3rd. The movie is described as "An intriguing story of passion, drama, love, and abandonment involving two couples, which only gets more complicated when the man from the first couple gets acquainted with the woman from the second coupling" and stars Natalie Portman, Jude Law and Julia Roberts.

Casa Alianza Fundraising Results

A recent Casa Alianza fundraising drive at many of Suzanne's European concerts brought in £4,616.00 ($8,430 USD), which exceeded all expectations. 100% of these funds were directed to Guatemala for the Casa Alianza Mothers and Babies program.
